The Year of
Jubilee

Lift your
voice, it's the year of jubilee
And out of Zion's hill, salvation comes
Jesus began
his ministry in a Jubilee and He will return in a Jubilee. He
declared his mission in the “acceptable year of the Lord” and
His final Return will fulfill it in “the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn.” The next Jubilee is in 5797. The
middle of that year is Nisan 1, or March 17, 2037.
Jesus was
baptized by John the Baptist, spent 40 days in the wilderness, then
performed his first miracles through Galilee. He returned home to
Nazareth, and in the synagogue was handed the book of Isaiah. He
read in the first-person, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has
sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty
to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of
the Lord.” (Isaiah 61:1-2; Luke 4:18-19) Jesus continued, “Today
this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:21) Upset
in Nazareth followed with trying to throw the son of Joseph off a nearby cliff.
Jesus did not
pick these words to read but only stopped short of completing the
verse. This was the intended “reading of the law and the prophets,”
(Acts 13:15) known as the triennial cycle. On each Sabbath,
festival, and fast day a specific verse was read from the Torah and
Prophets, a pre-chosen haftara over a three-year cycle. A
Rabbi handed Jesus the Isaiah scroll on that day to read in God’s
timing.
Jesus claimed
fulfillment in a redemptive Year of Jubilee. (Leviticus 25:8-55)
They had not been observed for many centuries, but Jesus knew the
intent and timing. This Year of Jubilee must follow a Sabbatical Year.
The
Sabbatical Year sequence at the time of Jesus was the same as
observed in Israel today.
The next Sabbatical is in 5787, 2028-2029. Moving back to before
Jesus’ crucifixion the Sabbatical was in 5787, 26-27.
Jesus read Isaiah’s prophecy of His arrival in 5788, 27-28, the
following Year
of Jubilee. The length of Jesus’ ministry was limited to cover three
Passovers.
This terminated with His crucifixion on Nisan 14, 3790, or AD 30.
Jesus
finished His reading with “To proclaim the acceptable year of
the Lord” and closed the book. He did not finish reading the
following verse with His second fulfillment, “And the day of
vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn.” (Isaiah 61:2)
Jesus will return and fulfill Isaiah's prophecy on the Jubilee
in 5797.
In Jesus' later words, the day of vengeance will be “Immediately after the tribulation
of those days… Heaven and earth will pass away… But of that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but
My Father only.” Matthew 24:29, 35-36)
“The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which
the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will
melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it
will be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10-13, Revelation 20:9)
Coming
forward in 49-year cycles from the Jubilee in 27-28 (3788) the next
Year of Jubilee will be in 5797, from September 21, 2036 to
September 9, 2037. Heaven and earth will pass away in Fire. We can
expect heavenly signs, unpredictable earthquakes, and important
Biblical days, but “the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do
not expect.” (Matthew 24:44)
Jesus said in
sequence, “this generation will by no means pass away till all
these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away.”
(Matthew 24:34-35) For most of us this progression will happen in
“our generation.” Watch for a few surprises.
The return of
Jesus has been expected in 2030 in the Millennial Sabbath. “Behold,
the day of the Lord shall be as a thousand years. Therefore,
children, in six days, that is in six thousand years, everything
shall come to an end. And He rested on the seventh day. this He
meaneth; when His Son shall come, and shall abolish the time of the
Lawless One, and shall judge the ungodly, and shall change the sun
and the moon and the stars, then shall he truly rest on the seventh
day.” (Epistle of Barnabas 15:4-5)
Afterthought:
The
Millennial Sabbath has been expected since the time of Jesus with
fulfillment in 2030. The final Week will start in 2030, with the
powerful delusion of many choosing the False-Christ as Christ with
apostasy. (Matthew 24:23, 1 Thessalonians 5:3, 2 Thessalonians
2:1-12)
The
4-Horsemen of the Apocalypse might soon ride. The Haredi, or
ultra-orthodox Jews, are primed to rebuild their Temple and begin
sacrifices.
This requires removing the Dome of the Rock and triggering Islam
into an escalating war.
The new Jewish Messiah
will be branded the Antichrist. These hard times will end in 2030
with the earthquake (Revelation 6:14) and covenant of peace. (Daniel
9:27) Then the final 7 years.
Lift your
voice, “Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
